About Oltmans Construction Company
Oltmans Construction Co. is a full service general contracting company specializing in commercial and industrial construction, renovations, solar, infrastructure and public works. We have earned our way to the top of California’s construction industry by staying true to the vision and business practices our founder J.O. Oltmans laid down over 80 years ago.
We hold ourselves to very high standards, and we do our absolute best to live up to them. If we miss the mark, we are the first to notice and the first to resolve it. Clients and subcontractors alike return to work with us again and again because of our honesty and fairness.
The product we build is our legacy and we refuse to produce anything but the highest quality we can achieve. Everything we do adheres to this strict code — from the job sites we run to the finished projects we deliver.
Oltmans made its mark perfecting tilt-up construction. While many now imitate our success, we keep moving ahead — applying our expertise to new frontiers as we diversify our business and develop new skills. The logistics, accounting and management know-how we amassed refining concrete construction techniques is now driving down costs and raising quality in solar power, infrastructure, historic renovation and retrofits.
About Kemp Brothers Construction
Over 100 years ago Kemp Bros. was established as a general contractor with a clear cut mission — to deliver quality construction and reliable service. Although the construction industry has changed over the years, the founding ideals and principles have not.
Our company has remained privately owned and operated as we have strived to become the best in our field rather than the biggest. Many of our established clients continue to seek out our services, which is a testimony to our many successful working relationships in the industry.
We believe our most important asset is a committed and knowledgeable staff with the singular ability to incorporate the company’s philosophy into each and every project. Our strength lies in working with some of the most respected subcontractors in the greater Los Angeles area who parallel our goals of service, cost competitiveness and reliability. It is through this joint vision that Kemp Bros. has enjoyed continual success on a wide range of building types.
Our hands-on team approach is client-oriented and service intensive from the project conception to final close-out and occupancy. Senior management, including the firm’s partners, play a vital active role in assuring the success of each project. There will never be an important meeting or emergency situation that our partners are unable to attend.
Focusing our attention toward each project as a unique entity and opportunity, rather than forcing a standardized multi-conglomerate approach, Kemp Bros. has grown to be less departmentalized in structure and more project specific in form. As a result our multi-talented staff is cross-trained to perform a variety of tasks for each project, allowing team members better familiarity and owners the reassurance of a true partnership situation.
We strive to meet our clients’ needs by establishing face-to-face relationships, maintaining open lines of communication and working with the design team to meet project objectives. Our office staff and field personnel are committed to delivering quality, service and reliability.
