SITE & CAMPUS SIZE

Castaic High roughly covers 198 acres. The campus is about 58 acres.

CASTAIC HIGH LOCATION

The scenic Castaic High School Project is located in Castaic’s Romero Canyon off Hillcrest Drive. The site is in the unincorporated community of Castaic, 5 miles north of the City of Santa Clarita. Castaic High School is west of Castaic Lake and Interstate 5. The eastern boundary of the campus is 2 miles west of the Parker Road and Sloan Canyon intersection. Valley Creek provides South Access, from Hillcrest/Baringer Road to Sloan Canyon Road.

NEW ROADS AND STREETS

Increment 1 provided new roads and streets for the site. The major perimeter road is Valley Creek. It encircles Castaic High School. Valley Creek Road also provides the east access to the school, from Canyon Hill to Sloan Canyon. The south access? That’s Valley Creek, too. It provides access to the school, from Romero Canyon Road to Baringer Road. Valley Creek Road primarily runs north and south.

THE ABSOLUTE BEST SITE FOR THE CAMPUS

Many factors were considered in choosing exactly where to build Castaic High School. After much work from the Hart District and the community, Romero Canyon was selected.
